Dawson Butte Ranch Open Space Trail

Dawson Butte Ranch Open Space located in Douglas county was opened to public in 2008. A 5 mile loop trail takes you through a gently rolling terrain with nice views of the Front Range and the Butte itself. You will pass through forested areas and also nice open meadows. This trail is popular with horse riders but it is great for hikers and bike riders as well.

Hours: 1 hour before sunrise to 1 hour after sunset

Directions: Take I-25 north. Take exit 174 and drive north on Frontage road for 2 miles. At railroad crossing turn left on Tomah Road. Drive for 1.6 miles and then turn right into Dawson Butte Open space parking.
