Seven Bridges Trail to Jones Park

Seven Bridges is a popular trail in the Cheyenne Canyon that crosses the Cheyenne Creek multiple times over seven bridges as the name suggests. The trail head is at intersection of Canon Wood Road and High Drive. Park the car and walk through the gate to Gold Camp Road. After you reach the 180 degree bend on the road look for the 7 Bridges trail head marker on the right. Shortly after you cross the first bridge there will be a trail spur going to the right, this is the Buckhorn Cutoff Trail that goes up to Capt.Jacks trail. Enjoy the walk through the canyon as you cross all seven bridges. You will reach the last one after only about 1.6 miles. At this point the trail will start climbing a bit and you will pass Undine Falls on the left. Soon the trail goes through a nasty scree field, so be careful and watch your step here. Nice views of the city and the canyon open to the east. After you get through the exposed slope you will enter the forest again and reach a point where trail #662A splits from the main trail and takes you up north around the west slope of Mt.Kineo. Once you meet up with trail #667 continue on it through the Jones Park valley for about  0.2 miles. The trail goes on to the west but if you walk north you will reach the ruins of Louds Cabin. This is a good final spot but feel free to explore the area.

Directions: Coming south on I-25 take exit 140 and get on Cheyenne Blvd via S Tejon St. Drive all the way until you reach Cheyenne Canyon. Drive all the way through past Helen Hunt falls until you reach parking lot at intersection with Gold Camp Road
