Seven Bridges is a popular trail in the Cheyenne Canyon. The trail follows a nice creek with seven wooden bridge crossings along the way. After parking at the trailhead walk through the gate to the Gold Camp Road. Walk an easy 0.7 miles on this former railroad bed. After you reach the 180 degree bend on the road look for the Trail 622 marker on the right. Shortly after you cross the first bridge there will be a trail spur to the right, this is the Buckhorn Cutoff Trail that goes up to Capt.Jacks trail. Enjoy the hike through the canyon as you cross all seven bridges. You will reach the last one after about 1.6 miles. This would be a good place to soak your feet in the water and return back. The other option is to continue on the trail to Jones Park.
Continuing on the trail you will start climbing a bit and pass Undine Falls on the left. Soon the trail goes through a nasty washed out scree field, so be careful and watch your step here. Nice views of the city and the canyon open to the east. After you get through the exposed slope you will enter the forest again and reach a point where trail #662A splits from the main trail and takes you up north around the west slope of Mt.Kineo. Once you meet up with trail #667 continue on it through the Jones Park valley for about 0.2 miles. The trail continues the west but if you walk north you will reach the ruins of Louds Cabin. This is a good final spot but feel free to explore the area.
Length: 1.6 miles to the last bridge. Additional 1.6 miles to the Louds Cabin.
