Mays Peak

Mays Peak (elevation 8283 ft / 2525 m) is an easily accessible peak located in the Cheyenne Canyon. The mountain is just opposite of Mount Buckhorn with High Drive running between them. The summit offers great 360 degree views of the city and the surrounding area.

From the parking area start walking up the dirt High Drive. After about one mile you reach the point where trail #667 is crossing the road. Turn right and follow a fraint trail to the summit.

Distance: 2.6 miles round trip from trailhead on Gold Camp road.

Difficulty Rating:

Directions: Coming south on I-25 take exit 140 to access Cheyenne Canyon. Drive all the way through past Helen Hunt falls until you reach parking lot at intersection with Gold Camp Road.
